At Mimi na Jamii Foundation, we believe that youth are not just beneficiaries of change but active drivers of it. Our mission is to provide a platform where young people can identify challenges in their communities and take action through innovative, sustainable solutions. By focusing on health, education, and technology, we equip youth with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to create lasting impact. From supporting rehabilitation programs for drug addiction to advocating for inclusive education and bridging the digital divide, we are committed to ensuring that every young person has the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to society. Through leadership, collaboration, and a shared vision for a better future, we are building a movement where youth take charge of solving problems, uplifting communities, and shaping the future of Tanzania.

Our Vision

A future where young people are the driving force behind inclusive, innovative, and sustainable community solutions; creating a society where every individual has access to education, digital opportunities, and a healthier life.

We envision a Tanzania where youth are not sidelined but are at the forefront of change—leading initiatives that transform their communities. A future where every child, regardless of ability or background, has access to quality education, where rehabilitation and recovery are met with empowerment, and where digital skills open doors to opportunities for all. At Mimi na Jamii, we see a society where young people are not waiting for solutions but creating them, driving progress in health, education, and technology. By fostering a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and action, we are building a future where the energy and ideas of youth shape a stronger, more connected, and sustainable Tanzania.

FOUNDER'S NOTE

The vision of Mimi na Jamii sparked when I was 16—just an idea fueled by the belief that youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow but the change-makers of today. By 17, that idea took shape when I organized my first leadership seminar for school leaders in Mwanza, proving that young people are ready to lead and create impact. What started as a single event grew into a movement—a platform where youth take charge, create solutions, and uplift their communities. Through initiatives in health, education, and technology, we are redefining what it means to be young and empowered.
To every young person reading this: your ideas are valid, your potential is limitless, and your time to act is now. Welcome to Mimi na Jamii—where youth power meets community impact.
